Scott Levensten is a nationally renowned Philadelphia trial lawyer who focuses his practice in the areas of Catastrophic Loss Litigation, Class Actions, Environmental Liability, Mass Torts, Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, Antitrust, Business Torts, and Securities Litigation.

Mr. Levensten was recognized by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1994 and is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania, New York and D.C., state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third and Fourth Circuits.

ENVIRONMENTAL LIABILITY LITIGATION
Mr. Levensten actively participated in the Delaware River oil spill class action litigation (E.D. of PA) representing property owners seeking testing and remediation of their contaminated properties.

Mr. Levensten served as both lead trial counsel in a wrongful death case and associate counsel in two additional federal cases brought against national and multinational corporations who manufacture and distribute products containing benzene. The suits were brought by an estate of a decedent, and two men who contracted acute myelogenous leukemia caused by exposure to the defendants lethal products. In 2005, all three cases achieved large confidential settlements. Only a small circle of attorneys shares Mr. Levensten's success in Benzene litigation.

ANTITRUST LITIGATION
Mr. Levensten actively participated in the Microsoft Antitrust Multidistrict Litigation on behalf of direct purchasers of certain Windows® software. A multimillion-dollar settlement was reached in that antitrust litigation. The case was pending on the docket of U.S. District Court in Maryland before U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz.

Mr. Levensten actively participated in the Sumitomo Copper Antitrust Litigation which achieved a multimillion dollar recovery on price manipulation claims under the Commodity Exchange Act, 7 U.S.C. Section 1 et seq. See e.g., In re Sumitomo Copper Litigation, 74 F. Supp. 2d 393, 395 (S.D.N.Y. 1999) ("The recovery is the largest class action recovery in the 75 plus year history of the Commodity Exchange Act");

SECURITIES CLASS ACTION
Mr. Levensten was an attorney for the named plaintiff in the following securities class actions:

BUSINESS TORTS
Among other commercial cases, Mr. Levensten was counsel for several nationwide classes of insureds whose automobile insurances policies were breached by their insurers.

Biography:

Mr. Johnston was born and raised in Philadelphia and completed all levels of his education in his hometown. He has worked as an intern for former Mayor Edward G. Rendell of Philadelphia (now Governor of Pennsylvania) and for Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter. Additionally, Mr. Johnston spent a semester as an intern at The White House in Washington, D.C. during the administration of President Bill Clinton. As a law student, Mr. Johnston worked as a clerk for a local personal injury firm and as a clerk for the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC).

Mr. Johnston has gained experience working at The Levensten Law Firm, P.C. since the early stages of its inception in 2006, first as a law clerk and office manager, and now as an attorney. He has played the sport since his childhood, continuing to the present, and has founded a team that plays in three separate leagues (the Philadelphia Yankees), a fall league (the Philadelphia Fall Baseball League), and has held numerous leadership positions in the long-standing and locally historically significant Fairmount Park ‘A’ League. Mr. Johnston’s Philadelphia Yankees team participates in two summer leagues, the fall league, and local and national tournaments, earning notoriety in numerous national publications, as well as coverage by the local print media. Recently, Mr. Johnston and other teammates, along with players from other teams in their league (the Greater Philadelphia Men’s Adult Baseball League) participated in two events garnering significant attention, the exhibition against the Russian Olympic Team and an inter-league exhibition at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball.

Mr. Johnston was sworn into the New Jersey Bar in 2008, and is admitted to practice before the state courts of New Jersey as well as the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey.

Biography:

Mr. Greenes was born in Texas and lived all across the United States, as well as spending several years in the United Kingdom, although he still considers home in beautiful San Diego, California. Originally interested and engaged in politics, a college class with the late Judge Joseph Lodge of Santa Barbara, California, led him to join the legal world.
