Plaintiffs Seek Aggressive Schedule for Bellwether NSF Trials
In April 2009, the parties in the MRI injury litigation met before Judge Polster regarding the scheduling of bellwether trials. Plaintiffs are seeking an aggressive schedule with a first trial on January 18, 2010. The defendants, led by General Electric, proposed a trial plan with no identified trial date, which would realistically result in a trial no earlier than June or July. This delay is unacceptable considering the physical condition of the plaintiffs. It appears that a middle ground will be reached, with the first trial hopefully occurring no later than mid-March 2010.
